>Rocky entered shelter life as a small puppy named Picasso. Several littermates came in at the same time. There was quite a variety of colors and coats, meaning lots of different genes involved.He and one of the other puppies were adopted together;The other was killed in a tragic accident. ;Rocky was with this family almost three years. ;The small children in this household were very rambunctious and Rocky was afraid of them and would try to get away when they came around. Sadly neither the children nor the dog received any training. The decision to give him up was made when he put his mouth around a visiting childsarm and, while no harm was done, they feared repercussions if in time he did start biting children. When in foster care, he wass fine with the other dogs and with cats, exhibiting a sunny and playful nature with no aggression.;As a precaution, we wish to place Rocky in a home without small children and, hopefully, in time with stability, reassurance and training, he will in time learn that most children will not hurt him. He is a special guy who just needs a chance.
